Is the Dori suitable for baby food?+
The Dori is made of BPA-free, food-safe platinum silicone. The silicone is non-porous and hardly absorbs odours.
Can I warm baby food straight from the freezer?+
The mould is designed for −50 °C to +250 °C and can go from the freezer into the oven without transferring. For the microwave, please transfer the purée to a microwave-safe container, as the mould has a metal rim. Always heat baby food thoroughly, stir it and check the temperature before feeding.
How much purée fits in one portion?+
Each of the 4 cavities holds 260 ml. How much purée suits your child depends on age and appetite - if in doubt, ask your paediatrician or a nutrition adviser. Tip: don't fill completely, the purée expands slightly when freezing.
Does the mould warp when pouring in liquid purée?+
The integrated metal rim gives the mould stability, so it warps much less when you pour and spills less when carried.
How long does frozen baby food keep?+
Label each batch with the date. How long home-made baby food keeps in the freezer depends on the ingredients and the freezer temperature - reliable guidance is available from child-nutrition specialists. Tip: let the purée cool before freezing.
Can I also use the mould for sauces, pesto or desserts?+
Yes - pesto, tomato sauce, cream sauce, panna cotta, chocolate mousse. Anything to be frozen in portions or baked in the oven. One mould for everything.
Is the mould dishwasher-safe?+
Yes, fully dishwasher-safe. Top rack recommended. The silicone is non-porous and hardly takes on colour or odour residues.
