From Zurich to your kitchen.
FRiBA is more than a brand – it is a homage to our food culture, to sharing, to preparation and to all the small, honest moments in the kitchen.
Over time, my kitchen accumulated more and more: plastic containers, glass bowls, ceramic baking dishes.
Everything had its purpose, but nothing felt quite right.
I was looking for a solution that was practical but also aesthetically pleasing.
This is how my first own product came about – the silicone molds – out of the desire to consciously design order and everyday life.
Some time later, during a trip to Thailand, a new idea came to me. I discovered a fabric bag at a small market.
Then, a lovingly illustrated Pad Thai – colorful, playful, full of life.
I fell in love with it instantly and took it home with me. In the following days, people kept asking me about it. Strangers stopped, smiled, and asked about it.
That triggered something in me.
Why don't we wear our own Swiss food culture with the same pride?
Where are our Zurich-style sliced veal parcels, our carrot cake prints, our fondue art?
That evening I sat on Koh Lanta, watching the sunset, the sea, and the mountains on the horizon. I took out my sketchbook, wrote "Ghackets mit Hörnli" underneath it – and started to draw.
Back in Zurich, this idea wouldn't let me go. The first sketches became recipe cards and then tote bags – inspired by my family, by cooking, and by real memories.
This is how FRiBA came about.
A passion project that combines design, culinary arts, and sustainability. For everyone who doesn't just enjoy food, but lives it.
